that's really a puzzle! |
Seriously if we had to think hard and answer this question, 'Who
are you?'. Really, 'Who am I?' How whopping do we all think we are these days? Well self-esteem is great
to have but its intriguing; what gives us the arrogance and brashness that we habitually bare
to the rest of the sphere? What happened to modesty and unpretentiousness? Where’s
that art of being selfless and benevolent while simultaneously working towards
higher goals and meeting greater targets incessantly (that’s should be routine
anyways). To keep that head on those shoulders and those feet on the ground. Honestly, who do you think you are?
Don't you know who I am?
Sometimes we just never seem to get the message. Yet again when you hear this question, it arouses a very negative and heated response in your brain. The fact that someone dared to ask you that. The truth that they didn't think you were extraordinary enough to be given the regard you feel you deserved. The question should make you reflect within yourself and introspect a bit to really reappraise yourself and where you stand.
What is it really that makes us so great?
- I’m wonderful because I manage this big company
- I’m superior because I work in the police force?
- I’m an edge over you because of my looks?
- I rule because I’m in the parliament?
- I rock because I’ve a flashy car?
Get clean
No it’s not
the branded body washes and cosmetology cleanups that cleanse you. Rid yourself
of these self pounding thoughts that pull you down and disburse your energies
in negative emotions like anger, arrogance, contempt and hate. The more you are
dissatisfied with the people around you, and the way you ‘feel’ they should
treat you; greater is the torture you inflict on yourself by complaining and
feeling perturbed about it. War has never lead to favorable consequences. So
stop battling the world and most of all yourself. Start treating yourself
special because you are special no matter what everyone else thinks. Don't
change their cognitions or actions; learn to alter yours. That will change the
way you see them and with a bounce, they will see you better too. Look into the
mirror and truly SEE who you are.
Reality check
We all were born special. Each of us is unique. There are no 2 fingerprints on the planet that match each other, and it will be so for several millennia to come. So we must not forget that we are all are exceptional. What we usually tend to overlook is that everyone around us is distinctive too. If we have regard for ourselves, there’s pretty tall chance that everyone around us deserves that honor too. They are as unique as you and have as much self-respect as you do. If each one realizes that and respects the other, there will be no room for anyone to ask: Who the hell are you?
