Proving a point

'extra'ordinary
Extraordinary
An apparently small ‘extra’ bit transforms the conventional into the extraordinary. That bit is indeed not trivial but isn’t impossible either. Of ability, knack, skill, aptitude, potential, few are innate endowments while most individuals have to fight their way through life to make their mark. A tiny leap of a difference can categorize people as special. Knowing the extent of ones own capability can be an inspiration to attain heights that once were unimagined. Who then defines the maximal limit of each ones talent? Some counts are factual: people don't usually live beyond 100 to 110 years; man cannot fly like a bird, or reproduce by himself for instance. What is unattainable seems super human. When accomplished it becomes a human capacity. If only there was a method of identifying and building on expertise to grow beyond what one deems himself capable of at this current moment. Does one need figures to score a point before the game is over? Who keeps the count?
Intelligence
Intelligence is an ability to think rationally and target fitting and beneficial outcomes through one’s behavior and actions. Man has a wide range of cognitive abilities, each working wonders for oneself as well as the world; although each of them cannot be correlated. Thus it’s impossible to compare any two individuals in all respects and comment on who’s the better of the lot. The wise one essentially knows his or her aptitude and uses it appropriately in this lifetime. Intelligence then becomes less of information and more of sound judgment to use that information rightly.
Debate
Every coin has two sides, so does an argument. Debates are not challenges between right and wrong, they are simply points of view expressed by people who cognize differently. When such disputes occur within ones own mind, a sound reasoning ability allows for logical understanding of the pros and cons of each side. The outcome depends on your own personal resolve to accept or reject a particular idea. There is always a subjective element in most personal decisions.
  • It is a lovely outfit but it would make me look a little plump
  • The job sounds great but I don't feel like I am cut out for it
  • He’s a lovely person but wouldn't make a good spouse to me
  • A biking trip sounds like fun but I may not have that energy
  • I can lose weight if I try but I don't have the drive right now
  • I do feel depressed but asking for help seems cowardly to me
  • I failed last time; I don't think I should even try this out again
Decisions are made secondary to some or the other deductive reasoning. There seems to be sufficient justification to give up trying or believing in the worst outcome and in several cases rightfully evading the fight. That's what is ‘ordinarily’ considered.
Proving that point
Scoring that goal is essential; crossing the finish line is critical and leaving ones mark is indispensable; not for the sake of the contest, but for participating in the game. The world doesn't need evidence of each ones prowess; however each one of us does for ourselves.  The best points are those proven to oneself. Breaking someone else’s record is jubilant, but breaking your own is true victory. Few make us feel like as losers as much as we do ourselves. Each one is blessed with some or the other skill that is essentially lacking in another. People in the world exist to compliment each other and complete the mosaic.
Surprise yourself
When you conquer what you deemed unattainable, you open the world of possibilities to yourself. What is miniscule for the world can be mammoth of a task for you; yet that seemingly miniature victory allows you to raise your own worth; and it is all that matters. If you sit with your nose on the grindstone and complain of the inadequacies of the globe, this world won’t become a better place by itself, neither will your nose. When we accomplish the impossible, we realize that we all are extraordinary creatures.
