Be your own inspiration

be the light
be the light that you want to shine on the
world. your world can never be dark then
Skill
Talent and aptitude are pre-requisites for origination, which is remarkably vital in today’s world. While these seem to be abstract concepts, they do command specific instruction and inculcation techniques. On the other hand, creative nuances seem to thrive and necessitate inspirational motivation. Inspiration is indeed set prior to consciousness. Practice and implementation of a skill may occur independent of it, and inspiration without talent may also be insufficient to warrant novel creations. Inspiration continues to be intriguing, an enigmatic and abstract concept; nonetheless it can qualify as a mandate for triumph.
Added value
The path to most goals is non- trivial; inspiration is a driver to positive action that convinces one of the worthiness of the light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone can see the light but it doesn't motivate each one analogously. The psyche modifies responses to diverse stimuli and formulates specific thresholds that conclude in either action or inertia. These are absolutely personal and do not have structured explicable correlations.
  • Some children are unmotivated for better grades
  • A lot of people are comfortable being overweight
  • Some marriages subsist despite their barrenness
  • People continue to hold jobs they entirely detest
  • Most people have more acquaintances less friends
The purpose of life is not to merely survive, but to thrive, flourish, blossom and boom. That little nonfigurative driver that may not have a concrete description or definition usually does the trick. Inspiration is indeed needed for every action.
Motivation
Motivation is occasionally synonymized with inspiration. It is pronounced as the driving factor that pushes one towards a goal. One may get propelled towards a certain target owing to an innate desire to excel and lay one’s mark, or the sheer attractiveness of the reward that is frequently associated with it. We get motivated to do the things we like, things that give us pleasure; acts that make us feel good, and deeds that prevent pain, accentuating happiness and pleasure. While motivation may be driven by material rewards (rightfully so) inspiration is usually abstract.  Inspiration drives one from within, to excel not for a reward, but the desire to master the action for the sake of self-growth.
Ideal and Idol
Ideals are moral values, principles and ethical constructs that offer impetus to willful action. They originate from within. An idol is a form of an ideal that is frequently held as an example to follow. They both represent intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. What matters is the existence of one or the other to drive oneself through the storm. Nobody is flawless, not us, not our seemingly perfect idols either. Knowing this truth is helpful in keeping faith, knowing that the world is beautiful in spite of its shortcomings and most goals we set out to achieve are worth the effort that goes into accomplishing them.
Refuel yourself
External drivers may fade, your idol may collapse (to err is human) and the world changes its ideals ever so often. You settle for lesser standards because some goals seem to not be accomplishable no matter how hard you try (so you feel). Be your own inspiration, build that inner desire to excel and lay your mark, your will to change the world around you, your earnestness to put in your best irrespective of what it brings you in return. Inspiration is part of your persona. It is your personality. You are the vehicle and its sole operator. Galvanize yourself to purposeful action; you are the only fuelling station available, so don't miss the chance. Be the light you want to shine on the world. You will never then be in the dark...
