Power to women

How change occurs
Childhood is the phase of instillation of value systems. From a scientific as well as research perspective, behavioral change never occurs overnight. Revolution takes place over time. To get a good plant we need to sow the right seeds and offer them the appropriate nourishment throughout the growth phase. Weeds don’t become nutritious edibles overnight; thus solutions to social problems like crime against women can never be immediate.

Sexuality and its problems

Importance of sexuality
Everyone has sexual feelings, attitudes, and beliefs; at the same time, everyone's self-experience of sexuality is unique because of the intense personal perspective involved. Having accurate awareness about healthy sexuality is very important for the nourishment of intimacy between couples. It is also instrumental in promoting sexual satisfaction and enhancing the sensitivity of interpersonal relationships. Sexuality has significant impact on the overall wellness of all people. One needs to get beyond the taboo and accept one's own as well as sexuality of the partner. This mindfulness helps deal with sexual problems in case they ever arise.

Control the world around you

I control my life
switch on switch off that's it?
So there IS that button that switches things on and off the way you want it? It really IS that easy to have your way with others? To make them treat you right. But the catch is that you have to do the right thing. That's when the right thing bounces back at you. This is not the era of dictatorship. Your children, your husband or wife, your employees, even your maidservant; no one takes autocracy well these days.  It’s not governance. And then look at the parliament house: not like there’s a lot of respect these days even for leaders…So how do we get that sense of control over people who really need to be under our control?

Respect thy teacher

Teachers are facilitators of education. They impart a part of themselves: i.e. the knowledge that they have imbibed over several years of learning as well as training; to another (their student) so that he or she may have better intellectual development, better productivity, and eventually, a better life. Teachers are like potters on the wheel, molding and shaping the children in different dimensions and contours and varieties of existence, to develop and create a piece of work, hopefully a masterpiece; in the future!

It's OK to disagree: Just do it with respect

Who ‘likes’ to be told that we are not doing the right thing?
Who enjoys being opposed in decisions we are capable of making?
Who wants to be ‘sermonized’ about what is appropriate and what’s not?
Surely nobody!
We are all extremely intelligent and well read today and we all have our own points of view. It becomes very difficult to accept those of another. This is one of the principal reasons why we see arguments in the parliament, corporate offices, bedrooms, colleges, schools and homes! Everyone wants to do their own thing; but it doesn't end there; everyone wants others also to do what they want to do themselves!

Teen Crisis: My parents embarrass me!

Hey mom you have no idea what’s ‘cool’ so don’t tell me how to behave in public
Dad you belong to a different era. Who dresses like that nowadays?
I don’t want you to be home when my friends come over…just let us be by ourselves
Don’t hold my hand while crossing the road, I know how to cross the road myself!
Whatever happened to wanting your parents to be with you like you used to in childhood? Mom don’t leave me alone, daddy come with me to my school please, dad I think you are cool I want to be like you, mommy come with me to my friends birthday…
Today the same parents embarrass you?
