Assertive people stick their feet to the ground;
have their heads over their shoulders and truth committed to their words.
Setting a target and refusing to budge from it is a sign of perseverance and
focus. However, failing to set targets in the first place owing to lack of
interest; and subsequently justifying personal misfortunes based on unawareness
and bad luck is self-defeating stubbornness. The rigid stand strong; but they
know when to bend, to defend themselves from breaking. Perfectionism is much
coveted but seldom attained. When goals are not set right, they indeed cannot
be accomplished spot on. Inflexibility is not a virtue…

What do we know about love?
What we think we know
A thumping heart, tingling in the stomach, sweaty palms, glistening eyes, a blush, a smile, the feeling of being wanted, an amorous virile sensation of colors seeming effervescent and music more livid; the flow of vitality between two people when they look in the other’s eye, sensuality, triggering the constant thought about ‘the one’; is what poets, writer, and lovers imagine and accept to be ‘LOVE’. Love has often been researched and explored; yet remains an enigma to many.

Do you have an inner critic?
How often do we
look into the mirror; not to see how good we’re looking once well dressed and
groomed; but to gaze deeper into the soul, to see who we really are, what our
true strength is and which are the values we strongly live by? We have reason
to look up to ourselves, believe in ourselves, pat ourselves, and feel content
with who we are and what we have triumphed in our existence. Yes, we all need
to feel proud of ourselves for survival. It's quintessential for us to know that we have worth. We need it to believe that life is worthwhile.
Appropriate appraisals and reappraisals from time to time help people better themselves.
And who is a better surveyor of yourself than you?

Respect thy teacher
Teachers are facilitators of education. They impart a part of themselves: i.e. the knowledge that they have imbibed over several years of learning as well as training; to another (their student) so that he or she may have better intellectual development, better productivity, and eventually, a better life. Teachers are like potters on the wheel, molding and shaping the children in different dimensions and contours and varieties of existence, to develop and create a piece of work, hopefully a masterpiece; in the future!

Adolescents: Relating to Adults
As
is well known and accepted and cannot be challenged; man is a social animal.
Human beings need to build relationships, share, care, give, as well as take
from those around them. Relationships can be equated with energy in the world,
flowing between hearts and brains of all human beings. Just like the laws of
physics that say that the total quantum of energy in the universe is constant;
it just keeps getting transformed into diverse forms; so also relationships keep
building between people- a vegetable vendor, a postman, a teacher, an employer,
an employee, a parent, friend, lover or spouse; all are examples of
relationships you build on because you NEED them. And teenage is the most
important time for building these connections. Healthy bonds with the
appropriate elders in your life assure a gradual and graceful progress to a
strong and confident adulthood.
