The glass never seems to be filled enough.
Quarter, half, three fourths; nothing suffices short of fullness to the brim.
Negative thoughts seem to have command and control; they rule. Little does the defeatist
know about the zest a positive thought can generate. The bicycle, aircraft, the
climb to Everest, journey to the moon; all were considered irrational thoughts when they were conceived.. It
took determination to believe they could transform to a beautiful and useful reality. The positive thought is characterized by:
Transparency
Preparedness
Open-mindedness
Self-examination
Innovation
Transparency
Interest
Vigilance
Expressiveness
The mirror has an inherent ability to
reflect. However if it gets layered with filth, the reflection becomes
indecorous. Possessing the knack but not being able to apply it makes the
reflecting ability meaningless. Lucidity is a boon; thought, intent, speech,
action, behavior and lifestyle would be perfect if one is aware of the flow of
the waters at all levels. One is often misled to believing that the world is not
worthy of trust and faith. Negative experiences leave their mark if we fail to
wash it off. Transparency allows one to look beneath one’s own skin. If you don’t
like what you see, you have prospects of cleansing it. Once you have the
crystal clarity within you can indulge in self-expression.
- I’d rather be honest and lose her than lie and live in sin
- My boss needs to know my abilities as well as limitations
- It’s better to fail and study again than cheat and fail in life
Interest
When you like what you do, the fatigue
associated with hard work gets negated. Setbacks may diminish zest, but the
goal ought to offer the resolve to go on. The light at the end of the tunnel
has tremendous power. It seems dim but gets brighter as we near it. Humans are
blessed with superior cognitive development, in addition to their need for
achievement which drives them towards their targets. If you will it, it will
happen.
- This looks exciting; it will be worth the effort
- This will definitely be an enriching experience
- I need to make her feel better; she truly matters
Vigilance
A study conducted on the physiognomies of ‘lucky’
people revealed that everyone gets similar chances in life; the ‘lucky’ ones are
watchful enough to grab them and use them to their advantage. Vigilance is
imperative for self-preservation. The smallest animals of the ecosystem are cognizant
of it. If one is aware of dangers and keeps a watch, there will seldom be destructive
consequences.
- I know the interview is tough, I’m not surprised
- She’s difficult to please, but I know what works
- I may get hurt but I’m aware; I can guard myself
Expressiveness
When you express what is within, you become
more human. Mature expression of feelings is a sign of emotional intelligence.
When you reveal what you feel, you give the world a chance to know you and
appreciate you; not for what you do or how you do it, but for who you truly
are. Expression discloses the core, that’s where the energy of the universe lies.
It offers strength and confidence by facilitating an understanding of the self;
first by oneself and subsequently the world. The result is a surprising
effulgence of self-esteem.
- This is how I like it, I hope you do too
- I prefer if you told me truly how you felt
- I wasn't happy with what you said to me
