ME: My Evaluation

my evaluation

How do I score?
Who knows you better than you know yourself? After all you decide who you are, what you think, how you feel and how you behave right? You make and break yourself. You create your own opportunities. You pass and you fail, you struggle and you prosper; and it’s all in your own hands. Your individuality is discrete and hence unique to you. You know your strengths more than anyone else does. And you have your limitations, which the world may be completely oblivious to because you never expressed them so no one knew. You are your best friend and worst critic. Yet there are few things about you, that maybe you sometimes misapprehend. Things you must know. The truths about yourself.
Being in control
You are the controller of events in your life, and you can choose to escape from personal responsibility too; yet you are always in control. If you ascribe misfortunes to loss of control, you probably have been too risky with your own actions. You could believe any of these:
  • I was in control (you drove the car and you had that accident)
  • I voluntarily gave up control (my wife is in control of me now)
  • Someone was controlling me (my boss just always has his way)
  • Everything was out of control (I don't know how I lost my job)
Believe
People who believe they are in control are more optimistic, more satisfied with their lives, and have better moods. They really are able to sort things because they believe they are truly in control of themselves. If you can sort your mind and your reactions, you can practically regulate anything on this planet. Just like a medicine that does good, honesty towards yourself leads to better consequences. It is true, you just need to believe it and act on it.

The screenplay of life

mind the life
The human mind is an influential apparatus, highly capable and adept; it can fashion marvels as well as facilitate demolition at its whim.  Cognitive abilities that it originates are forever tinted with an emotional tone. The subjective color of this emotion is known as mood. Moods may well be understood by shade; dark, bright, grey, dull, shining and occasionally blinding too. Long lasting and repetitive moods paint character. They transform the persona; allowing for the angelic halo and the devilish horns to occasionally show up and blush the environment with its virality.

Making the most of your time

A given life in a mundane existence; where we sleep, wake, cook, clean, eat, drink, work, shop, smile, exercise, laugh, cry, struggle, grow old, get sick, die…. There are several more verbs to be added in that list of activities that ordinarily comprise usual life events. Some of us go places; entertain, serve, lead, conquer; yet a similar existence for all. A specified time for each one; a tenure called life. It’s worthwhile to make the best within it; there are no guarantees of a repeat opportunity in this same sphere. It’s wise to make the most of the time you have within the palm today. It’s never easy to hold the sand in for too long. Sooner than later, it slips from between the fingers and you realize: my time has passed…

Time to add color to life

add color to life

Life is neither black nor white. It has a multitude of shades of gray. Yet there’s a possibility of splitting white into beautiful components and getting the apposite colors to make our own rainbow. Moods, mindsets, temperaments, characters and dispositions are usual excuses for accepting and living with inertia. Life deserves more than gray. It’s time to add some color to life!

It's time to get calculative

Math may not be the only field that makes one excel in life, but the summation of occurrences that add meaning to existence does count. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, the inevitable addition to life is the number of years lived. Birthdays come every year and we have no means to stop them. Until one day the count ends. But till then, the clock ticks. It’s strange that we keep counts of birthdays (a mere addition of years of ‘breathing’) and lose track of things that made this subsistence worthwhile. Or was it ever worthwhile? We dont even know. Its essential for each one to know. Everyone needs some good training in math. To get calculative about life…

Truths about you

truths about you
see it!
Who knows you better than you know yourself? After all we are who we are right? We make and break ourselves. We create our own opportunities. We pass and we fail and it’s all in our own hands isn’t it? Well to a very large extent your individuality is discrete and hence unique to you. You know your strengths more than anyone else does. And you have your limitations, which the world may be completely oblivious to because you never expressed them so no one knew. You are your best friend and worst critic. Yet there are few things about you, that maybe you sometimes misapprehend. Things you must know. The truths about yourself…

Have you lost it? Or do you still have it?

perspctive
Well there’s so much that we are attached to in this world, and we feel we possess, so this question can have a pretty speckled answer. There are numerous things we feel we should retain to ease our existence. Things that seem fundamental to us. Things that are indispensable for us. And then, in reality, some of these things include those we are not even be aware of. We fail to realize that we are chasing objects that are not essential for subsistence; while we have lost the pearls that are imperative for happiness and contentment. Common nouns and proper nouns have taken precedence over abstract nouns...
